What are the common faults of lithium-ion batteries during use?

Lithium-ion batteries have a very low probability of accidents due to their own defects. Although lithium-ion batteries are much better than lead-acid batteries in terms of safety performance, there will still be failures. What are the common faults of lithium-ion batteries?
Internal resistance of battery

The positive and negative electrode pieces of the lithium-ion battery are not welded properly when welding, or the internal resistance of the rivet in contact with the pressure plate will affect the internal resistance of the lithium-ion battery. Too small pores in the diaphragm will also affect the internal resistance of the battery.

Battery voltage

In the production process of lithium-ion batteries, impurities are mixed in the positive electrode, and the occurrence of dendrites in the negative electrode will reduce the voltage of lithium-ion batteries. Incomplete SEI film formation during the formation process will also cause the lithium-ion battery voltage to be too low.

Temperature anomaly

If the lithium-ion battery is charging or discharging, the temperature is abnormal, such as the temperature is too high. The reason for this may be a slight short circuit inside the lithium-ion battery.
