How To Detect Whether The Protection Plate Of Lithium Battery Pack Is Good Or Bad?
1. Detection circuit
The function of the protection plate configured for the lithium-ion battery pack produced by different manufacturers is not necessarily the same. Some protection plates are designed with thermistors to protect the lithium-ion battery pack from overheating.
The thermistor on the protection board only supplies a temperature sensor to the external circuit. If the circuit of the protection board is in poor contact, the lithium-ion battery is easily damaged. Therefore, checking the circuit of the protection board is an important first step for us to detect the protection board.
2. Cable arrangement
Use a multimeter to determine the correctness of the wiring. Press the B-line terminal with the black lead of the multimeter and the B1 line terminal with the red lead of the multimeter to obtain the first battery voltage. All series parallel batteries in the lithium ion battery pack are measured by this method.
If the wiring is correct and the power difference of all battery strings is lower than a certain value, it indicates that the protection board is used to ensure the consistency of all batteries of the lithium-ion battery pack.
3. Measuring voltage
After measuring the voltage of the lithium-ion battery pack and confirming that it is normal, plug the cable into the protection board and measure the resistance between the ports on both sides of the protection board. If the resistance is zero, it indicates that the lithium-ion battery pack is unblocked before and the protection board has a good function.
