What is the balance working principle of the lithium ion battery protection board
The lithium ion battery protection board is the charge and discharge protection for the series lithium ion battery pack. When fully charged, it can ensure that the voltage difference between each single battery is less than the set value, so as to realize the equal charging of each single battery of the lithium-ion battery pack, and effectively improve the charging effect under the series charging mode. At the same time, the state of overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and overtemperature of each single battery in the battery pack is detected to protect and extend the service life of the battery. Undervoltage protection prevents each single battery from being damaged by overdischarge when discharging.
The commonly used balanced charging technology includes constant shunt resistance balanced charging, on-off shunt resistance balanced charging, average battery voltage balanced charging, switched capacitor balanced charging, buck converter balanced charging, inductance balanced charging and so on.
When a group of lithium-ion batteries are charged in series, each battery should be evenly charged, otherwise the performance and life of the whole group of lithium-ion iron phosphate batteries will be affected during use. However, the existing single lithium-ion battery protection chip does not contain balanced charge control function, and the balanced charge control function of multi-lithium ion battery protection chip needs external CPU; Through the serial communication with the protection chip, the complexity and design difficulty of the protection circuit are increased, the efficiency and reliability of the system are reduced, and the power consumption is increased.
According to the application, after changing the protection chip model and series number, the power level of switching devices and energy consumption components in the circuit, the power lithium-ion battery pack of any structure and voltage level can be protected and equalized.
